Patients with annular pancreas have higher rates of pancreatitis.

Pearls

  • Double-bubble sign on neonatal AXR — duodenal obstruction.
  • MRCP shows ring of pancreatic tissue around duodenum.
  • Surgical management: duodenoduodenostomy (don't divide the annular tissue).
